What’s a Tide & Timber “Vibe-Check,” exactly?
This is what we call our design-first flooring consult. We read the room, including lighting, wall colors, cabinets, furniture and traffic levels. From there, we narrow it down to a few great fits. We show you full-size samples in your space, go over pros and cons in plain English and give you a transparent estimate.
How long does a shop-at-home visit take?
The majority of shop-at-home appointments typically last between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the number of rooms and flooring options you’d like to explore. During this time, we’ll measure, compare different flooring styles, answer any questions, and map out the next steps without any pressure.

Do you remove old floors and move furniture?
Yes, we do! It’s part of our turnkey bundle. We handle furniture moving, old floor removal and disposal, trim, transitions and cleanup. Your only job is handling playlists and pet cuddles.
Can you work around pets, kids and busy schedules?
We’re pros at real life. We set clear arrival windows, keep a tidy jobsite and stage work so you can still live your life. Give us any “nap time” or “dog is nervous” notes upfront and we’ll plan accordingly.
Do you handle subfloor issues and moisture testing?
Of course we do! Our PerfectFit flooring Installation System includes moisture checks, acclimation and subfloor prep and leveling as needed. Clean lines begin below the surface.
I’m torn between looks, can you match what I already have?
In most cases, yes. Bring a photo or we’ll take one on-site to find a complementary tone and texture. For exact hardwood matches, we’ll let you know whether blending or a threshold makes more sense.
How much will this cost and you offer financing?
Pricing comes down to the flooring product, square footage and prep work required. We provide a line-item quote so there are no surprises. Would you prefer to pace payments? Flexible financing (subject to approval) is available.
Where do you travel?
Our flooring service hubs are Hampstead, Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC. However, we do serve surrounding coastal communities like Surf City, Topsail Beach, Sneads Ferry, Leland, Wrightsville Beach, Swansboro and more. If you’re close by, we’ll bring the flooring store to you.
